Riverli Watercolor

Riverli, Watercolor and Ink on Paper. Original 12"x14"

This would be my first deviation , plus other firsts:

Watercolor is sort of a new-ish medium for me. I usually only use it for sketching before oil or acrylic paintings, so (hopefully) my 'finished' technique will improve as I explore it.

Usually, I paint more traditional portraits, though I've been sketching and drawing fantasy subjects for years. I still like the tradition subjects, but there is something very fun about painting things that couldn't possibly be real.

Also this is my first finished portrait of Riverli, my character in the online roleplaying game, Gemstone 4. I've sketched and drawn many other people's character portraits over the years, but never my Riverli.
